A year or two ago a young producer from Wolverhampton came into the grime scene and smashed everything the competition was doing to a million pieces. When K1 came on the scene with his wobbly, colossal beats he quickly rose to become one of the most talked about producers in grime.

After joining Invasion Alert briefly he could be heard everywhere, artists galore were vocaling his dubs on tracks, freestyles, radio and more and alongside that just about every grime DJ in the uk was spinning his tunes at raves, radio and all sorts. Last year when his pc was wiped and he lost everything he'd made so far he took a short break from producing. This was a sad day for the scene to lose such a instrumental mastermind.

Then in the last few months one or two clips started to come up on his soundcloud page of new unheard projects until out of the blue he announces ha the will be dropping a brand new EP via new label Titanium Audio.

When label head Marcus Coorley first hit me with all the forthcoming EP's on his label I was absolutely gassed to listen to each and every one of them but when I realised the new K1 EP was included I will admit I was almost cautious to listen to it. So many producers in the past have gone away and then come back but with little or no effect compared to their first stint in the scene.

This however, is not the case with Deliverance. I'm pleased to say the filthy, melodic chaos that K1 has always created has taken a turn for the better and improved tenfold. Title track a Deliverance is a stand out track from the release for me but you'll have to wait until it's released to make your own decision.

I'm glad to see K1 back and I'm hoping he stays for a very long time as there is nothing but success to come in the near future for this guy. Deliverance as an EP is an absolute grime masterpiece and will shell down many a rave and radio set.
